We are very excited to reveal Equans as winners of the 5th edition of our ATEB Recognition Awards.
As part of the carve-out from Engie, the Belux Treasury team of Equans has been instrumental in setting up an autonomous treasury function in a timeframe of just a few months.
This included the creation of a dedicated team, the implementation of a new TMS, as well as the replacement of the cash centralisation system – and all this while continuing to operate daily operations without any disruption. The efforts by the Belux Treasury team have strengthened its position in the Equans group. The team is, for example, deeply involved in the roll-out of the TMS to other countries. None of this would have been possible without the collaboration across multiple teams in multiple locations, the continuous focus on the desired end-state and clean and transparent communication.
It is our pleasure to grant the 2023 ATEB Recognition Award to Jean-François Steppé, head of the Treasury team of Equans Belux, in presence of Gregory Devalck, Group Director of Corporate Finance, Treasury and Insurance of the Equans Group. Congratulations from the ATEB Board!
The 2024 Recognition Awards are now open! These Awards are established to recognise the talented, hard-working individuals and teams which make a difference. Not only to the companies they represent, but also to the Belgian Treasury community in general.
We encourage all ATEB members to think of their peers and colleagues (and why not themselves!), and complete the nomination form. As you will see on the website, it really only takes a few clicks.
